Fibrex composite, inside and out
Fibrex combines wood fiber with a thermoplastic polymer that fills and encases each fiber cell. Andersen's product guide lists it at 40% reclaimed wood fiber by weight.
Replacement windows · installed by RADIANT
The 100 Series is Andersen's budget-friendly line, made from its Fibrex composite material — which Andersen says is twice as strong as vinyl. RADIANT installs it across North DFW, and we'll tell you honestly how it compares with the other windows we carry.
See Andersen on display at our Southlake showroom — 500 N Kimball Ave #106, Southlake. Mon–Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
The product line
Everything below is how Andersen describes its own product. We'll show you samples in person so you can judge the frames, finish and hardware for yourself.
Fibrex combines wood fiber with a thermoplastic polymer that fills and encases each fiber cell. Andersen's product guide lists it at 40% reclaimed wood fiber by weight.
Andersen says Fibrex is 2x stronger than vinyl and "retains stability and rigidity in all climates," so weathertight seals stay weathertight — where vinyl can expand in the sun and contract in the cold.
Andersen's product guide states Fibrex withstands temperatures in excess of 150°F, even in dark colors, and blocks thermal transfer nearly 700 times better than aluminum.
Andersen describes a matte finish that "won't fade, flake, blister or peel." Exterior colors: White, Sandtone, Terratone, Dark Bronze and Black. Interior: White, Sandtone, Dark Bronze and Black.
Custom sizes in 1/8" increments, with no-flange and insert frame options for remodeling and replacement, plus standard and custom grille patterns.
Andersen also lists the 400 Series, E-Series and Woodwright double-hung for replacement. The 200 and 400 Series use a wood core clad in vinyl rather than Fibrex.
Window styles
Andersen also offers combination designs. Sizes vary by style; we measure every opening before anything is ordered.
Energy & glass
Andersen states that energy-efficient 100 Series products are available with options that make them ENERGY STAR certified throughout the U.S. The glass package is where most of the energy decision happens — and a sun-baked west wall in Southlake may call for something different than a shaded north window.

Already have good windows but a hot room? Solar screens block 80–90% of Texas summer heat and can be a lower-cost first step.
Warranty
The 100 Series carries Andersen's Owner-to-Owner limited warranty, which Andersen says is transferable if you sell your home. Andersen's 100 Series product guide summarizes it as 20 years on glass and 10 years on non-glass parts, not prorated. Exclusions and conditions apply — read Andersen's warranty for your product.
