Product lines

Two Alliance series made for replacing existing windows

Alliance Window Systems products are built by members of the American Window Alliance, which describes itself as a national network of independent manufacturers. The Alliance site lists member plants in Chicago, IL; Little Rock, AR; Attleboro, MA; and Pittston, PA. The series details below come from member manufacturers’ published product pages.

Hawthorne Series

ALLIANCE “BEST”

The flagship replacement series, with the most standard features.

  • Full 3-1/4″ jamb-depth chambered vinyl frame; fusion-welded frame and sashes
  • InnovativE Low-E insulated glass standard, 3/4″ insulated units, double-strength glass
  • Constant-force balances on hung units, cam-action locks, multi-point locks on casements
  • Nine standard exterior colors plus custom exterior options; five interior color/laminate options
  • Lifetime glass breakage warranty listed as standard

Belmont Series

ALLIANCE “BETTER”

A value-focused replacement series, with more features offered as options.

  • Premium-quality vinyl, chambered frame; fusion-welded frame and sashes
  • Double-strength glass and 3/4″ insulated units; Low-E glass listed as an option
  • Includes single-hung and single-vent slider styles for budget-conscious projects
  • Multi-point locks standard on casements and awnings
  • Nine standard exterior colors plus a custom exterior option

Alliance also makes the Windgate series, which is designed for new residential construction rather than replacement. Hawthorne patio doors are available too — ask us if you’re replacing a slider at the same time.

Energy & glass

Low-E glass and warm-edge spacers, tuned by region

Alliance pairs its InnovativE Low-E insulated glass with a Duralite composite warm-edge spacer, and says each regional manufacturer tailors its insulated glass units to the local climate. In a North Texas summer, the glass is where most of the heat gain happens — so we look at the glass package first, not the frame color.

Alliance publishes U-factor, solar heat gain and air-infiltration values on a performance values page. We’ll pull the numbers for the exact glass package on your quote.

  • InnovativE Low-E — standard on Hawthorne, optional on Belmont
  • Warm-edge spacer between the panes to reduce heat transfer at the glass edge
  • Weatherstripping — tri-fin throughout, bulb-seal on casements, awnings and hung windows
  • West-facing glass? Solar screens block 80–90% of Texas summer heat and pair well with any new window.

Warranty

Assurance Plus Limited Lifetime Warranty

Alliance’s Assurance Plus Limited Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failures — materials for a lifetime and labor for five years — and is transferable to a second homeowner for up to 20 years. Hawthorne also lists a lifetime glass breakage warranty as standard. Read the full terms on the manufacturer’s warranty page.

Frames still sound? You may only need new glass.

If your windows open, close and lock fine and the frames aren’t warped or rotted, replacing just the glass may be all you need. We’ll tell you honestly which windows qualify.
