Energy & glass

Unix IQ glass with Quad LoE-452+

NT Window says Unix IQ is standard on its high-performance replacement windows, with "four layers of silver on the glass" and a Super Spacer warm-edge system. For North Texas homes the number to watch is SHGC — solar heat gain coefficient. The lower it is, the more summer sun heat the glass keeps out.

NT Window's published performance for the 900 Series single hung. Lower U-factor = better insulation; lower SHGC = less solar heat let in. Ratings vary by series, style and size.

ENERGY STAR

NT Window is an ENERGY STAR partner. It says Executive Series windows with high-performance glass are ENERGY STAR qualified for all regions of the country.

Warm-edge spacer

Super Spacer contains no metal; NT Window says it can raise edge-of-glass temperature by as much as 16.6°F versus other spacer systems.

Options to ask about

Foam-filled frames, triple glaze (Traditions), laminate glass and obscure, rain or satin privacy glass.

We'll show you the NFRC label values for the exact windows on your quote — not just the best-case figures.

Warranty

NT Window's Lifetime Limited Warranty

NT Window backs its windows with a transferable Lifetime Limited Warranty covering hardware and parts, insulated glass units, screens, and window frames and sashes. Glass breakage coverage is an optional add-on for most lines; the Traditions Series includes glass breakage and a 5-year labor warranty as standard. Labor terms for other series and full exclusions are in NT Window's current warranty document.

RADIANT reviews coverage with you at the estimate, so you know what's covered before you sign.

Honest fit

Is NT Window right for your home?

Often a good fit if you…

  • Want a vinyl window built in North Texas by a family-owned company
  • Care most about keeping summer sun heat out (low published SHGC)
  • Want an exterior color beyond white — Traditions lists 16 Vividcolor options
  • Don't mind choosing from samples rather than a showroom display
BEFORE YOU REPLACE

Frames still sound? You may only need new glass.

If your windows open, close and lock fine and the only problem is fog or a broken pane, replacing just the glass in your existing frame may be all you need. We'll tell you honestly which one your home needs.

NT Window questions, answered

Can I see NT Window at your showroom?

Not on display — NT Window is available to order. Ask to see samples when you book your appointment and we'll let you know what we can bring or show you.

Where are NT Window windows made?

NT Window — founded as North Texas Window — says it builds its windows in its Dallas/Fort Worth manufacturing plant, with headquarters on W Seminary Dr in Fort Worth. It is a second-generation family-owned business and says it buys all raw materials and window components from U.S. suppliers.

What is Unix IQ glass?

It's NT Window's insulated glass system featuring Quad LoE-452+ glass — four layers of silver Low-E coating — paired with a Super Spacer warm-edge spacer. NT Window offers it in Core, Design, Select and Enhanced packages, with published SHGC values from 0.14 to 0.17 on the 900 Series single hung.

Does the warranty cover broken glass?

Glass breakage is included as standard on the Traditions Series. On other NT Window lines it's an optional add-on to the Lifetime Limited Warranty. We'll walk through which coverage applies to the windows on your quote.

Can I finance NT Window replacement windows?

Yes. Financing through Medallion Bank offers terms up to 144 months. See financing.
